Annual 4th of July Luncheon
Each year, Susser Bank gathers for our Annual 4th of July Luncheon, a tradition honoring “Senator” Sam Susser, grandfather of Sam L. Susser, whose family immigrated from Ukraine. Growing up in the farming community of Bishop, Texas, his favorite meal was bologna sandwiches on white bread with French’s mustard and icy cold watermelon.
Humble meal. Lasting legacy.
As our nation marks 250 years of independence, the tradition feels especially fitting, as our country is primarily comprised of immigrants who arrived with little to no resources and have continued to build the United States with the principles and freedoms enshrined in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution.
