Melissa Cobb

Melissa Cobb currently serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel for Susser Bank. She leads the bank’s legal function and serves as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and the Board of Directors on legal, regulatory, governance and corporate matters that support the bank’s long-term growth and strategic priorities.

With more than 20 years of experience in financial services, Ms. Cobb has built a distinguished career advising banking organizations on complex legal and regulatory matters. She is recognized for providing practical, business-focused counsel while helping organizations navigate an evolving regulatory environment, strengthen governance and effectively manage risk.

Prior to joining Susser Bank in 2026, Ms. Cobb served as Senior Vice President and Divisional General Counsel for Comerica Bank from 2021 to 2026. Previously, she was Senior Vice President and Corporate Counsel for Beal Financial Corporation from 2009 to 2021, where she advised executive leadership on a broad range of legal, regulatory and strategic initiatives supporting the organization’s operations and continued growth.

Ms. Cobb earned a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University and a Juris Doctor from The University of Texas at Austin. She is CIPP/US Certified and is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel (DFW Chapter), the Southwest Association of Bank Counsel and the International Association of Privacy Professionals. She also serves as an Advisory Member of the Consero Group’s Financial Services GC Forum.
