Effie Dennison

Effie Dennison serves as Executive Director of Strategic Growth and Community Partnerships at Susser Bank, where she leads initiatives that accelerate market expansion through collaborative partnerships, community engagement and purpose-driven strategies that strengthen both business performance and local economies. She joined the bank in January 2026.

With more than 25 years of experience, Ms. Dennison is a seasoned strategic growth and community development executive known for helping financial institutions expand market presence while deepening trust and impact within the communities they serve. She specializes in aligning enterprise strategy, brand and partnerships to drive responsible growth across diverse and underserved markets.

Prior to joining Susser Bank, Ms. Dennison served as Managing Director and Head of Community Development & Corporate Responsibility at Texas Capital Bank, where she directed statewide strategy for affordable housing investment, economic development, corporate philanthropy and employee engagement. Under her leadership, the bank significantly expanded its community investment portfolio, strengthened public-private partnerships across Texas, and earned its highest Community Reinvestment Act rating.

Ms. Dennison also founded and served as President of the Texas Capital Foundation, where she established a data-driven, impact-focused grantmaking model that aligned corporate giving with business objectives and measurable outcomes. She is recognized for cultivating high-value partnerships with civic leaders, nonprofits, regulators, and industry stakeholders to unlock growth opportunities, expand access to capital, and elevate brand reputation.

An active civic leader across Texas, Ms. Dennison, has served on numerous boards and currently serves on the boards of The Family Place and Texas Women’s Foundation Alumna. She is also the recipient of numerous awards recognizing her leadership in corporate responsibility and community advocacy including the Dallas Business Journal Minority Business Leader Community Advocate Award and Women Who Mean Business Award.

Ms. Dennison holds a Bachelor of Arts from Dallas Baptist University.
