Bennett F. Carter

Bennett F. Carter currently holds the position of Chief Credit Officer at Susser Bank, where he is a key member of the Executive Leadership Group. He also chairs the bank’s credit committee and oversees the implementation of the bank’s lending policies.

Mr. Carter’s tenure at Susser Bank has been marked by significant growth and expansion. Under his leadership, the bank has seen its assets soar from $100 million to an impressive $2.2 billion. Additionally, the bank has expanded its footprint from two branches to nine, increased its team of bankers, launched an SBA lending platform.

With a career spanning 40 years, Mr. Carter’s expertise in the banking industry is extensive. He has excelled in various areas, including Credit Analysis, Loan Review, Correspondent Banking, Commercial Banking, Business Development, and Bank Management.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Mr. Carter is actively engaged in his community. He has previously served as a board member for organizations like the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Boys and Girls Clubs of Arlington, and Arlington Children Charities. His volunteer work has extended to organizations including Safe Haven of Tarrant County, Ronald McDonald House Fort Worth, and Habitat For Humanity. Mr. Carter is also a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU.

Mr. Carter and his wife are proud residents of Arlington, Texas, and they are the grandparents of three grandchildren, with two married children.
